Stormy Angel
Stormy Angel by Terry Richardson
She can walk
between
night and day
never letting either
get in her way.
She learned this trick
many moons ago
by
going deep within
and never letting it show.
Her soul is innocent
her heart is pure
she’s gone through more
than most could endure.
She’s an angel of light
an angel of dark
you never know
what you will spark.
You want to hurt her?
Please, go ahead and try
she’ll be the one to show you
just how well she can
f
l
y.
Her soul innocent
her heart pure
but never think for one minute
that she’s not secure.
Say what you will
please, do what you must
but your jealousy and hatred
won’t waver her trust!

Hey Sweet Piano Lady
Hey Sweet Piano Lady by Terry Richardson
Hey Sweet Piano Lady, Will you play a song maybe. Something with a kick, From one of those top hits. You know you have the rhythm, Let it be your decision. I'll try to keep in step with you, While I tap dance it out too.
Hey Sweet Piano Lady, I'll follow with you baby. Can't you play us a tune, Something to make us swoon. Make us all want to dance, We're just looking for some romance. It can be a little fancy, I'm feeling kinda antsy.
Hey Sweet Piano Lady, Just stick with me baby. Play something I can sing along, Don't keep us waiting long. We all are full of Happiness, With Love, Joy and Cherrfulness. Would you mind sharing, We all know you're so caring.

Unending Love
Unending Love by Terry Richardson
I see your eyes glistening so bright, When I see you my heart fills with delight. I try to write my thoughts down, They just make my head spin around. But I could see your shining light, and I'm in disarray, But here are words that can make you stay. Come my thoughts, let my words be fetched, Where all of my memories are forever etched. Two hearts have never been so close, Oh, my darling, you're the most

Finding The Words
Finding The Words by Terry Richardson
Don't say no to shining your light Don't say no to a hug goodnight Don't say no to a dance in the park Don't say no to a kiss in the dark
Don't say no to smiles and laughter Don't say no plans forever after Don't say no to a romp on the beach KEEP all your greatest hopes in reach
Don't say no to my tender touch Don't tell me I LOVE YOU too much Don't say no to a quiet refrain Don't say no to letting me remain
Don't say no to memories made Don't say no to best plans laid Don't say no to delayed decisions Don't say no to sparking visions
Don't say no to my humble presence Don't say no to my essence Don't say no to Love's sweet song Find...all the Yes's that'll move us along!

The Darling And Amusing Hat
The Darling And Amusing Hat by Terry Richardson
Whose hat is that? I think I know. Its owner is quite happy though. Full of joy like a vivid rainbow, I watch her laugh. I cry hello.
She gives her hat a shake, And laughs until her belly aches. The only other sound's the break, Of distant waves and birds awake.
The hat is darling, amusing and deep, But she has promises to keep, After cake and lots of sleep. Sweet dreams come to her cheap.
She rises from her gentle bed, With thoughts of kittens in her head, She eats her jam with lots of bread. Ready for the day ahead.

In Golden Silence
In Golden Silence by Terry Richardson
I've seen you quite often, Very seldom from afar. I know your light is shinning, High amongst the brightest of stars.
Silence is golden and leaves no trace of anything behind...
Not a single thought to survive the night, nor moment of reverie to dwell upon or wish.
Not a stray beam of loosened heartlight, nor a single knowing glance to softly bring within.
Not a gentle smile to warm the way, nor a passion fevered touch to draw the breath deep.
Silence is golden so the vibrant tones of play and gentle music may not be.
Not a simple whisper, nor single heartbeat speak. No spell of magic woven nor brightness of spirit flowing.
In Golden Silence... I weep.

In The Morning Light
In The Morning Light by Terry Richardson
She came to me as I dreamed My eyes were closed I was half asleep And the world wasn't what it seemed Of things discovered in the deep That this was a projection of my mind I marveled at the wonders there to find My skin tingled as she came so close Her soft body with a sweet scent of the rose Reaching out and touching her hand Never have I looked upon beauty so grand We lean in together, then we kiss, so slight and gentle-soft My mind is blissful in her light, my eyes gazes on white visions aloft We sit and talk and cuddle, she's as vivid real as day She feels like angels sent her, she says she'll never go away "You don't exist," I protest, but our hands remain entwined “Maybe not in the way you know,” she said, "but I'm more than in your mind." We rested on my bed, hand in hand and soul to soul. She said she was mine forever, she said she loved me whole. “I'm with you always”, she said, “guiding you on your way helping you, protecting you, from joy to darkest day. You will sense me in those times, when the rain turn to frost, and in those moments you need a hand, when all will seem so lost.” She pressed her lips into my cheek, the sensation lingered on my skin. I inhaled so very deeply, her face had a grin. Then I awoke, bewildered; the brilliant sun had dawned I lay awash with happiness, my heart kindled as I yawned I arose to dress myself, and set about my day I went to the bathroom, as the dream ebbed away I stared into the mirror, and there upon my face Was the lipstick print of a single kiss. Then it disappeared without a trace...

Glow of Your Halo
Glow of Your Halo by Terry Richardson
It's easy to see Your An Angel From the Glow of Your Halo Bringing news from the Evangel To each and every fellow
To change our our destiny, to change our fate Hope descends where Heaven beckons from above To bring To-morrow's wisdom, we do appreciate Seraph of the skies, -Sweet Love
She passed through Glory's morning-sky God's messenger sent down from the stars Down through those splendors to glorify As her glory exceeds that of ours
Of each soul's purpose in this life Whom should teach us to look for Thee Without hope we remain in strife All our sins Thou can see----

Your Spirit Within
Your Spirit Within
by Terry Richardson
I am all those tears that feel Abiding in sorrow's deepest well The flame consuming all your dreams A million voices from those dying screams
Listen to the echoes from long ago See how those tears were falling so It's an unknown song flowing from within What's to come has already been
As time goes on and has passed Missing someone does last Tears flowing from each eye For not a single day goes by
Your Spirit Within weeps again and again Echos of a song it did contain As my sad heart must ever grief From love that cannot find relief
So I still weep, still wish you were here Echos of a song will never disappear I know Your Spirit Within must be near To hope, a thing so very dear

Life is like a Rose
Life is like a Rose by Terry Richardson
Life is like a Rose... So Delicate and Fragile... Yet so Strong and Enduring... The Heart opens like a Rose... On a Summery Dawn Morning... Blossoming unto its Fullness... When its in Love... Withering Away when Heartbreak... Falls upon It... Mending its Branches... As Winters Harsh Cold... Puts a soothing Salve Over It... Budding again Each New Spring... To Renew and Start Again...

In Vain
In Vain by Terry Richardson
In vain this man does reap, Through his sins he will weep. From the tears of yesterday, Which dim the pride of today. In the hour of his disgrace, Began a cry to embrace. He seeks the Lord for pardon, There in the secret garden. Shall forgiveness mend the past, And heal our hearts at last. There is One who knows I’ve done wrong, I pray He makes me strong. His compassion works in wondrous perfection, As He gives us the utmost affection. To those who are hurting, That have a need of converting. With praise for Your compassionate ways, Forgiving our sins and iniquities throughout our days. We've faced many struggles in our short years of life, Some were a great decision, some were a pain or strife. As I get down on my knees, In prayer I am hoping God will be pleased. Past sins may still hound a few, And yet so thankful God has found you. Thy love is such I can not repay, The heavens reward you abundance, I pray.

Forgiveness
Forgiveness by Terry Richardson
Forgiveness I cannot ask For the sins of my past The regrets are to deep All I can do is weep
Time has no cure As the pain I endure Comes at a price When you indulge in vice
Its to late to say goodbye Long after we die Now my tears reach up to the sky As every breath ends with a sigh
If I could just see your face Lost once more without a trace What could of been said As the tears I shed
Only time will foretell If we go to Heaven or Hell You are always on my mind Giving a love so rare and kind
Feeling so blue My true love for you Failed to come through Is more than one can chew

The Author
The Author by Terry Richardson
The line between the real and unreal, is never sharply drawn. And I'm still trying to decide, just which side you're on. Dreams can come, and dreams can go, and sometimes dreams come true. The trick is in telling which dreams are which, a knack that I once knew. So I sit amid my thoughts, and I write down what I dream. Letting my imagination run free, exploring variations on a theme. Someday, someone will read these lines, and get a peek inside my mind. I hope they'll see the magic there, and share the wonders that they find.

Not An Artist
Not An Artist by Terry Richardson
I dedicate this poem to poetrysoup... * I’m not an artist as you can see, I’m not, though I try my darnedest, I try, I do, why can not I be, Regardless, I’m not an artist. I write poems that follow all the rules, The rhyme and meter are well defined, Those that praise me are often considered fools, Or people whose tastes are not that fine. Of stories, my subjects are so crude, Most fiends seem to be the hosts, These tall tales are too rude, But, the number of words matters most. I’m not an artist, that much is true, If you read, don’t forget to vote, I will try to write and interest you, Any ideas, just drop me a note.

Center of
Center of by Terry Richardson
·° ¤ Center of Ah, words! What more words might I say? Lady, Sweet Lady, grant this one a few more with which to play. I enjoy the dance here 'tween so many pretty shades of gray. Have I told thee of the why I talk of them this way? The fun I have playing my rhymes between where light and shadow play? How nothings really black or white. If one looks, ponders, opens ones eyes, its possible an obvious wrong may be right. It can be hard to see beyond so many lies. None can encompass the vastness in which eternity does lie. To think to hard on such makes most peoples head hurt. They give up to easily I think. Just shrug, and sigh. They miss out on the simplest, though perhaps most subtle prizes. Is it so hard? The secret hidden in everyone's eyes? CONSCIOUSNESS IS THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE The beautiful deeply embedded in each of us. The ultimate ugliness is that we deny this. Our unique special species curse. And that I think saddens me the worst. A thing that to look upon, is to bring on one self, hurt. And that, my own little curse. We all foolishly hold tight to our pains. Ignoring in doing so that the burden does gain. Why is it that every living person must forget this? Again, and again, and again? And we think we're sane? Look at the world we live in! The opposite is plain! And we each and every one of us made it this way!

Lady At Foot Of The Cross
The Lady At The Foot Of The Cross by Terry Richardson
Walking to that place Where time stood still and people were asking for His Grace Her brown eyes shedding a tear The Man she has loved will soon no longer be here
Looking down on her, she bows to Him Her facial expressions growing sad and dim She cries out to the LORD For she has been favored Most adored
The angels bring her gladness His death will not be the thing remembered last His second coming is remembered by all From Mary Magdalene to Peter and Paul
The lady is the Queen Mother Her son Jesus Christ is Our Brother Mary the Mother of God You have walked where Heavenly Angels have trod

Purple Heart
Purple Heart by Terry Richardson
It's what freedom cost, Yet another family's lost.
Traces of a long forgotten war, Willing participants to their own accord.
A coffin's flag to a son who gave his life, So unafraid to die for the right.
Unspoken words echoes in silent action, A sympathy for another's suffering compassion.
While his last battle has come to a end, Us warrior poets write quickly to defend.
The parents never bragged about the Purple Heart, His death was tearing their lives apart.
He died when he was only twenty seven, I hope God saved a place for him in Heaven.
These gnarled hands that once held the terrible weapons of war, Now beckoned for peace that we shall know war no more.
The hardships they suffered for liberty's sake we shall never know, So much, so very much to each of these brave men and women we owe!

On My Knees
On My Knees by Terry Richardson
I've been trying to do right, Struggling with sin all my life.
I'll get down on my knees, Dear Lord want you hear my pleas.
Let my promise to atone, All past mistakes of one's own.
Lord pardon me, or strike me, if you please, I cannot be much lower than my knees.
Struggling with tears could this sorrow ease, After words such as these.
A word with God in the early morning breeze, Asked the Lord above for mercy, Save me if you please.
I surrender my will, I'm on my knees, Just save me please, please.

Pray Again
Pray Again by Carlos Richardson
Lord, please Listen to this humble plea, I don't know why you should listen to me.
I have locked you out with my sins, but with this prayer, my faith begins.
Please forgive this sinful man, In your mercy, take my hand.
Change my Life to do your will, Empty my Heart and Love please fill.
Make me a Friend to all mankind, That's the richest Life I could find.
Don't let me error or fail to see, That all men need to seek Thee.
I give my Life and all I own, So I'll be in Heaven, near your Throne.
Please forgive me Lord, for much did I sin, Even forgive me Just enough to barley get in.
At the end of this Prayer, I'll say amen, If I am not changed, I'll pray again.
Please, please, Lord, Listen to me, My Life and future, all depends on Thee.
Amen
